Dr. Cummins’s primary clinical focus is on oncologic breast reconstruction, with a particular interest in alternative flap reconstruction. Her practice is heavily influenced by her training at UT Southwestern, where she was taught and mentored by expert surgeons who pioneered many of the cutting-edge techniques for breast cancer reconstruction including “stacked” flaps, profunda artery perforator (PAP) flaps, and lumbar artery perforator (LAP) flaps.  She is experienced in deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap and direct-to-implant reconstructions as well, having performed hundreds of these cases during her training.  Aside from breast reconstruction, her specialties also include primary and revisionary cosmetic breast surgery, abdominoplasty, and body contouring in the setting of massive weight loss.

With an unassuming personality and genuine ability to connect with patients, Dr. Cummins focuses on helping you to become the most confident version of yourself through a journey based on the highest level of trust, privacy and comfort.  Dr. Cummins is excited to offer women increased access and options for breast cancer reconstruction with a goal to provide patients with patient-centered care, personalized surgical planning and the most natural results.

Actively involved in community support activities, she also enjoys a variety of outdoor activities and caring for her two dogs. Dr. Cummins is married to an orthopaedic trauma surgeon. A former competitive martial artist, she continues to focus on functional fitness as a pastime.
