Breast Reconstruction

Breast cancer…few other words have such an effect on a woman.  Dr. Ma understands this on a personal level.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 weeks before her wedding and is a 10 plus year survivor.  She has made it her goal to guide women through the process of breast reconstruction and help them through their recovery.  Patients will experience personalized care in our compassionate, supportive environment.

We understand that each person and situation is different.  Dr. Ma and Dr. Metcalfe take the time to explain your options and determine which procedure will work best for your specific needs.  Breast reconstruction procedures restore breasts to near normal shape, appearance, symmetry, and size following mastectomy, lumpectomy or other trauma.

We offer a number of advanced breast restoration options.  The different methods of breast reconstruction are divided into two broad categories:  implant-based and autologous tissue-based (using tissue from another part of your body to create a breast) reconstruction.  Our practice is one of the very few in town to offer advanced microsurgical procedures such as DIEP, TUG, and PAP flaps.
